Description

 In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of our Active Directory (AD) environment, producing comprehensive AD Discovery and Design Documents, and providing valuable recommendations based on your findings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AD administration, excellent scripting skills, and the ability to translate technical information into clear and concise documentation.

Responsibilities:

AD Discovery:

Conduct thorough analysis of the existing Active Directory infrastructure.
Utilize scripts and tools to gather information on Domain Controllers (DCs), DNS, DHCP, GPO, Users, Computers, Servers, and network configurations.
Identify and document issues, inconsistencies, and potential security risks within the AD environment.
Documentation:

Create detailed AD Discovery Documents outlining the current state of the AD environment, including a comprehensive overview of DCs, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Users, Computers, Servers, and network components.
Develop Design Documents proposing recommendations and improvements based on analysis findings.
Clearly articulate technical details in a manner understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Scripting:

Develop and execute scripts to automate data collection and analysis processes.
Collaborate with the IT team to enhance existing scripts and create new ones to improve efficiency and accuracy of AD assessments.
Recommendations:

Provide well-founded recommendations for optimizing AD performance, security, and overall reliability.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement approved changes and improvements.
Collaboration:

Work closely with other IT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators, and security analysts, to gather relevant data and ensure a holistic understanding of the AD environment.
Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:

Proven experience in Active Directory administration and analysis.
Strong scripting skills, with proficiency in PowerShell and other relevant scripting languages.
Experience with AD assessment tools and methodologies.
Skills:

Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documents.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of best practices for AD design, security, and performance optimization.
Communication:

Effective communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
