Description

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. This role requires a professional who can help us transition our Firestore data to BigQuery and support our ongoing data engineering needs.

Responsibilities:

- Design and finalize the BigQuery schema based on our existing Firestore data.

- Develop ETL processes to move data from Firestore to BigQuery.

- Optimize BigQuery for reporting and analytics, including customer behavior, sales trends, and other KPIs.

- Collaborate with our team to understand data requirements and provide solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues as they arise.

- Participate in discussions during EST hours (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).

Requirements:

- Proven experience with Google Cloud, specifically Firestore, BigQuery, and Dataflow or other ETL tools.

- Strong SQL skills and experience in schema design.

- Familiarity with Cloud Functions and serverless architectures.

- Ability to work during EST hours (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM).

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the food or restaurant industry.

- Experience with data visualization tools like Looker or Data Studio.
