Description

Looking for an experienced BA for two client projects.  Remote with some travel for occasional face-to-face meetings.  Work will be mostly independent with the guidance and support of the company owner/project lead. Experience working with Tribal Nations and/or healthcare and social services a plus. This is a long-term, up to 4 year minimum, 1099 position. (Please note: the project budget for the position is per year and at the year one level. Potential to increase initial dependent on experience. Subsequent year increases as a percentage with any differential (i.e. more than a standard percentage raise) dependent on performance)

Overarching deliverables are as follows:

Create detailed work plan from current high-level task outline

Create and manage stakeholder communication plan

Identify state/federal statutes of impact to the project

Create needed documentation, process mapping, and other artifacts

Both projects involve working with Tribal Nations in two different capacities and two different states. Our company is small but well-known in Indian Country which is our service focus.  The team has a solid array of expertise ranging from Indian Law and Policy, Public Health Informatics, and Social Services - all through the lens of Tribal health and wellness.  I am needed in more of an executive role rather than performing active project responsibilities.  To ensure our large upcoming projects,  I need an experienced business analyst to oversee project materials and tasks.  Project 1 is through a state office and is projected to last over 1 year, Project 2 is with a state university and the National Institute of Health and will last a minimum of 4 years with the possibility for a 1 to 2 year extension.

A good candidate must have at least an intermediate level of business analysis or project management experience with strong critical thinking and solid stakeholder management and document creation skills.


Required Experience:

Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience
Proficient in the MS suite of products
Proven ability to create effective project documentation
Understanding of equity and inclusion principles

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in healthcare/data or social services projects  
Prior experience with American Indian/Alaskan/Native communities
Education/professional background in Health Informatics, Policy Analytics,
CARE model of Indigenous Data collection

Unicorn Level:

Experience and understanding of Tribal sovereignty

Understanding/knowledge of the historical and generational trauma experienced by Native peoples

Background in the following: Public Health or Indian Law
