*Important* This job is NOT for a translator. This is for a technical writer who has the highest proficiency in the German language but is able to communicate in English. Translators will not be considered.

*Important* This job is only for people with experience writing technical manuals and installation manuals.

* VERY Important* This job is not for someone who's first question will be, "what exactly do you want it to say". It is for someone who can look at the current manual, watch the installation videos and tell me what it should say.

I have instruction manuals that I did years ago and they are awful, so I need to redo them. I also need to bring them up to date with the proper safety information to satisfy EU CE regulations.

The correct candidate should be familiar with required safety information pertaining to EU regulations and any other obscure requirement for home use electronic items in the EU.

The correct candidate should have the ability to write and illustrate (I can help with this) installation and operating instructions that an average to below average intelligence person can understand.

There will be a total of 3 manuals that will also be translated into French, Italian and Spanish. You would not be responsible for these other languages but keep in mind that they will ultimately be there in the final version.

The deliverable is 3 documents ready to be submitted to a printer including correct margins, bleed lines, fold lines and folding instructions on Adobe illustrator.

The current manuals are heavy on graphics and colors but I prefer to stay away from "pretty" and concentrate on accurate, understandable content.
