JOB PURPOSE
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Project Manager to lead our expanding Creative Automation team. You'll be pivotal in orchestrating the execution of intricate projects that leverage creativity and technology for scalable asset generation. Our collaborative approach involves a tag-team effort between London and Manila teams, facilitating project handovers at the close of each working day. This sets the stage for our Manila team's independent campaign execution in the future.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, your role demands effective communication with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders. Your leadership skills will make you a central figure in the team, ensuring smooth project execution in an environment where processes may not always be transparent. Your proficiency in managing data feeds, spreadsheet operations, and meticulous quality control (QC) for a substantial volume of assets is expected. Alongside your technical expertise, traditional project management skills, including resource management, project plan development, and cost formulation, are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Manage the transition of Creative Automation projects between the London tech team and the Manila team at the end of each day, ensuring smooth handovers.
● In collaboration with the London tech team, lead asset Creative Automation campaigns through their tech phase; managing asset templatisation, production, quality assurance, quality control (QC), and delivery.
● Creating and managing cost estimates and timing plans for campaign lifelines from brief to delivery.
● Take ownership of accurate and timely delivery for multiple projects, proactively managing dependencies, risks, and issues.
● Manage, debug, and craft data feeds for creative automation, demonstrating proficiency in Google Sheets and formulas.
● Oversee virtual asset rendering and address rendering-related issues diligently.
● Work closely with Designers. Conducting initial briefs, reviews and feedback loops.
● Conduct QA throughout Design stages to catch any potential issues before they arise.
● Act as main internal point of contact for all relevant teams, keeping everyone responsible for actions, next steps and meeting key timing touchpoints.
● Conduct thorough QC by manually reviewing a large scale of assets alongside the rest of the team, ensuring adherence to approved designs, and overseeing bug fixes.
● Develop and implement a robust QC process and protocol, anticipating the complete outsourcing of QC from the London team to the Manila team over time.
● Lead and build the Creative Automation team in Manila, overseeing designers initially and potentially expanding to include more Tech PMs and designers.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential:
● A minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on technical project management experience, demonstrating a successful track record of managing complex tech projects.
● Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and understanding of formulas for data analysis.
● Keen attention to detail to identify process gaps and maintain pixel-perfect quality assurance, even when reviewing assets at a large scale.
● Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple projects with competing deadlines.
● Strong problem-solving aptitude, coupled with a solutions-oriented mindset to proactively address challenges.
● Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration and leadership within the team. Proficiency in translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical team members.
● Operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment, acting quickly to address challenges and ensure timely project delivery.
● Exhibit a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances, swiftly reprioritise tasks, and develop on-the-spot solutions to meet evolving project requirements while maintaining composure and decisiveness even under pressure.
● Embrace a steep learning curve and learn by doing, taking initiative, and working independently while being open to learning from mistakes with our support.
Nice to have:
● Previous experience working in creative automation.
