UE5 Game Designer - VR/Desktop Multiplayer, MetaHuman & Voice
Looking for someone with experience with VR Multiplayer, MetaHuman & Voice Communication in UE5.
This will be for creating a game similar to Phasmaphobia. Understanding of Phasmaphobia is required.
The game will need to support both VR and Desktop playable views. Initial dev focus is on Desktop view.
You will create a authoritative multiplayer setup, with a lobby and MetaHuman pawns.
The authoritative hosted non-player server instance will be hosted on Linux as a daemon with command
line option to to specify port and IP for listening.
The lobby will load a selected map, one player is chosen as a 'ghost' (essentially on their own team)
while the rest are on their own team. (Hunters)
You will help with piecing basic small maps together as well as using colliders or such to 'zone'
areas of the map. You will help discuss and choose some premade map packs from UE Asset store.
You will create a ghost class with 10~30 possible settings for the purposes of creating different
'ghosts' with different presets that the 'ghost player' gets to choose from and use.
All players have a reticle in the center for targeting.
The Hunters have no UI other than the targeting reticle.
All players can interact with chosen objects, picking up/holding/throwing, 'using', open/closing doors.
(Some restrictions may be applied to specific ghost types)
Ghost players will get a meter along the right hand side and three icons in the bottom center with
keyboard shortcuts for reference to use its abilities.
You will create a settings menu to adjust Game, Graphics, Audio, Voice settings.
Code will be pushed to GitLab.
